Marilyn Hangs Ten

I met Jenny last month in Penn Station and was thrilled when she allowed me to photograph her half-sleeve, which is one of her fourteen tattoos:

 

How cool is that? This piece represents about twelve hours of work. Jenny had the basic idea and went to Jonathan Leonhardt at Something Wicked Tattoo in Roseville, California. The rest, as they say, is history.

The concept behind this is simple. Jenny is a surfer and she loves Marilyn Monroe. Why not combine the two to create a unique tattoo to make a statement? This is such a cool piece, I was honored to get tp share it with everyone here at Tattoosday.

Lindsay Lohan update Tattoo

I have to be honest, this annoyed me slightly when i found out, cause i wasn't too fond of the first one. Now she has added another.
I like the quotes and placements, it's just the different coloured stars used to decorate it.

This new one is on her right arm.
It says 'I restore myself when I'm alone'

The older one on her left arm says 'Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle'

Some Like It Hot!

This next tattoo could be the best reader submission I've ever recieved. Veronica's wonderful Marilyn Monroe portrait was done by Stefano Alcantara of Last Rites, NY. Whoah. It puts Megan Fox's arm into context, for sure.

Dead Sexy

I love this Zombie Marilyn Monroe, done by Jason Butcher. Marilyn is probably one of the most popular icons for pinup tattoos, even entering the world of celebrity, on Megan Fox(y), below. Although for some reason she didn't go for the zombie option.

A Black And Grey pinup-fest!
